Roses Are Red (My Love) – Bobby Vinton – Bing video

Lyrics by Bobby Vinton:
A long, long time ago, on graduation day You handed me your book, I signed this way “Roses are red, My Love, Violets are blue Sugar is sweet, My Love But not as sweet as you.” We dated through high school, And when the big day came, I wrote into your book, next to my name: “Roses are red, My Love, Violets are blue, Sugar is sweet, My Love, But not as sweet as you.” Then I went far away, and you found someone new. I read your letter, Dear, and I wrote back to you: “Roses are red, My Love, Violets are blue, Sugar is sweet, My Love, Good luck, may God bless you.” Is that your little girl? She looks a lot like you. Someday some boy will write in her book, too. “Roses are red, My Love, Violets are blue, Sugar is sweet, My Love, But not as sweet as you.”
Happy Valentine’s Day!
My wife and I got married on February 14th but it was by sheer chance, as that was the only date available. Nothing to do with Valentine. Condolences again on the loss of your husband

Thanks, Ed. My son gave me a dozen red roses. I guess to cheer me up. That is unheard of because my children don’t buy me roses ever because they think my roses are better than store-bought. They usually buy me other garden flowers, but not roses.
Happy Anniversary to you and your wife! How lucky for you both to have such a special day!

We are celebrating it in a Covid 19 style: strictly at home

Thanks anyway. Anniversaries give an opportunity to stop and reflect on where the relationship is going. So many twists and turns in a marriage but, from a higher perspective, a relationship is a tremendous opportunity to grow emotionally
