Not every country holds Memorial Day on this date, many are in November when we hold our Veteran’s Day, and I’m certain you have your own ceremonies to display gratitude to your troops.  Shake the hand of a veteran today!

  1. I miss the Memorial Day Parade in Oyster Bay. Every year, we used to walk half the block from my house and watched the parade with the members of the American Legion marching. We saw the number of WWII veterans dwindling over the years. I thank them for their ultimate sacrifice. .
